Rwanda is small landlocked country inn the Great lakes region of east-central Africa, is surrounded by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Tanzania, and Burundi. Akagera national park
Akagera national park is the only one savannah vegetation in Rwanda boasting a huge number of tourists, the park is located in the eastern province of Rwanda. Akagera national park is the Rwanda’s biggest national park covering an area of over 1,089 square kilometers. The park is the nearest national park to Kigali, located approximately 98.1 kilometers of about 1:30mins to 2 hour drive from the city. The park was gazetted in 1934 with the aimed to protect and conserve the wildlife in their natural habitat. The park is a home to the only Big 5 African animals such as buffaloes, lions, rhinoceros, elephants and leopard, other mammal species includes, giraffes, roan antelopes, topi, bush pigs, warthogs zebras among others all these fascinating wildlife can be seen when you participate any of the game drives offered on the park for instance the morning, afternoon and evening game drives. The park also offers night game drives who want to explore the night leaving creators of the park. Volcanoes national park

Nyungwe forest national park
Nyungwe forest national park is a home to astoundingly different biodiversity with over 1,068 plants species which act as food for the wide number of wildlife species of over 68 which are endemic to the park including Mahogany as the common plant around the forest ,among them over 200 species are trees including Miliantus holistic the popular trees , 248 species orchids such as flowering plants, giant lobelia, vegetation zones including sub-alpine vegetation which is dominated by shrubs and bamboo others are new species being found each yearly , the forest is also a home to the biggest protected wonderful marshlands in Rwanda called Kamiranzovu swamp

Gishwati-Mukura national park
Gishwati-Mukura National Park is the Rwanda’s newest National Park famously known for its diverse plant species of over 60 species of trees like the bamboo and wood and a big number of Rwanda safari wildlife species and around 84 bird species. The park is located in Ngororero and Rutsiro districts in the country’s Western province covering an area of about 3,558 hectares. The park was gazetted strictly to conserve and protect wildlife species that were poached by the Rwandans. Gishwati-Mukura is popularly known for primates such as L’Hoest monkeys, blue monkeys, the vervet monkeys, baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, golden monkeys and chimpanzees and primates tracking is the major activity carried out in here. There are also many small mammals and they include the black fronted duikers, hyrax, mongoose, and many others.
