Another option is to travel from Tanga through Pangani and Mkwaja to the Madete entrance gate, roughly 146 km. if you’re coming from Dar-es-salaam/ Chalinze, you can head through miono to reach the Mvave entrance gate, which is about 225km. There’s also a route from Arusha to Madete entrance gate via Mkata, which is 79km.
