Mount Meru 1 Day Hike In Arusha National Park ITINERARY
Day 00: Arrival: Kilimanjaro
When you arrive at the Arusha/Kilimanjaro airport, you will be met by a representative from Tanzania Focus East Africa Tours who will drive you to the White House Hotel, where you can unwind and enjoy the surroundings. The hotel offers all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, and the guide will give you all the information you need to get ready to begin your route the following day.
Day 01: climbing or hiking Mount Meru
8:00 a.m., your guide will pick you up at the accommodation after breakfast, ready for a short drive to the park gate. A guide will give a brief overview of the one-day Mount Meru walk while driving.
At 9:00 a.m., the Mount Meru 1-day hiking tour will begin. As you hike through a tropical trail covered in banana trees, you’ll hear your guide tell some exhilarating legends about the Meru people.
Continue your ascent of the mountain at 12:00 p.m., where you may enjoy the breathtaking views of Arusha’s lower regions while learning about the forest’s rich birds, stunning butterflies, monkeys, forest antelopes, and other medicinal plants. You will eventually stop hiking and find a nice place to have lunch.
You will continue hiking for an hour after lunch to reach Meru Falls around 13:00. The height is 22000 meters, the waterfalls are enormous and pleasant, and you may take a break at Meru Falls.
At 16:00 hours, you will begin returning to the crater after spending a few hours relaxing and soaking in the view at Meru.
You begin your descent back down into the crater at 17:00 hours, where you will meet our Focus East Africa Tour’s driver guide, who will then pick you up and take you back to your hotel in Arusha town.
