Serengeti national park wildlife safaris

Serengeti national park wildlife safaris : Wildlife safaris in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park are the most incredible experience for nature lovers. One start spotting animals from the fork off the Main road that goes to Babati to Lake Manyara region. The Serengeti national park wildlife safaris are extraordinary, passing through Lake Manyara and seeing Olive Baboons matching along the road as they are referred to as school boys, and having a fantastic aerial view of the world’s largest caldera.

The Serengeti national park wildlife safaris begin as soon as you pay your entrance fee for transit through the Ngorongoro conservation area, where you will see large herds of buffalos, zebras, giraffes, Kundu, and many other animals. The only place where wildlife coexists peacefully with humans is the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The park’s diverse ecosystem is home to a variety of wildlife species, ranging from the big five to the tiniest, with the annual wildebeest migration being the most popular. The great wildebeest migration happens in June to July when the wildebeest cross the Marar River to the Maasai Mara national Reserve of Kenya, the wildebeest return from Maasai Mara in October to November back to Serengeti national park around Grumeti River.

Tourist flock Serengeti during this period and most of the migratory tented camps are found on the Northern part of Serengeti.  The Hot Air Balloon has also been relocated to this location to provide guests with an aerial view of the migration. This spectacular live event is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and it takes place every year in Serengeti National Park.

Another wildebeest migration season occurs in the southern Serengeti to the Ndutu Area, where the calving season occurs in Ngorongoro, one of the most nutritious grasses in the world, from January to February, which is ideal for the newly born wildebeest calves.

Safaris in the Serengeti National Park can be done in one of three ways:

Game drives

Serengeti game drives take place in the morning, evening, and full day across the Serengeti national park. Morning game drives are more rewarding than evening game drives because the park is more active in the morning and more animals can be seen, especially during the dry season when grazers look for fresh dry grass with early morning dues. The large animals like Elephants and Rhinos are more active when the temperatures are lower. The cat families like Lions like sunbathing during the morning hours in an open bare lands or kojpes. The hunters take advantage of the morning hours to encounter their prey. They like ambushing them when they are looking for fresh pastures.

On the side of birders enjoy the early birds that come out to look for the early warms. They are mostly active and sing beautiful songs to welcome the new African day. This is the time you see the true colors of the African bird, follow its habits.

Various animals such as lions, rare tree climbing lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffalo, topi, gazelles, oribi, zebras, wildebeest, and others can be seen during game drives, as well as birds such as secretary birds, Vultures, Supurb sterllings, Doves, Lover birds, Weaver birds, Buffalo weavers, Egrets, different types of Eagles

The Serengeti National Park also contains a number of hippo pools where big herds of hippos can be found at shallow pools.

Balloon Safaris

The Serengeti’s balloon safaris are run by the Balloon Safari Company and Miracle Balloons. This is the finest method to gain a bird’s eye view of the wildlife in Serengeti National Park, including clear views of lion hunting, wildebeest migration, and other activities. After paying the park admission fees and conservation fees, balloon safaris cost extra. They begin at 5 a.m. with a pick-up from your tent and a drive to the balloon’s launch location.

Following a briefing from the pilots, you will softly fly and float at a height of 1000 meters above the flowing animal movement. After the balloon ride and wine toss, you will enjoy the African sunrise while eating the best bush breakfast.
