1 Day Saadani National Park Safari : You get the opportunity to see the only park in all of East Africa that borders the coastline on a Saadani day safari tour. Every participant in the Saadani Day Safari Tour will be picked up from one of the predetermined meeting locations in Dar es Salaam. With the exception of schoolchildren and college students, who must arrange for their own meals and water, we will plan picnic lunches and clean drinking water; our responsibility will just be to arrange for transportation and to arrange for the payment of their park entrance fees.
GAME-VIEWING ACTIVITIES IN SAADANI
The game drive and boat cruise down the Wami River, which crosses Saadani National Park and flows towards the Indian Ocean, are the main wildlife viewing activities on the Saadani day safari tour. Hippos, crocodiles, flamingos, and many other large bird species are abundant in this river. You have the best chances of seeing a range of huge African creatures on a game drive or boat safari, including elephants, giraffes, buffalo, warthogs, reedbucks, waterbucks, hartebeests, larger kudus, wildebeests, elands, sables, and yellow baboons. Additionally, Saadani National Park is home to a sizable bird and reptile population.
Your tour guide will show you the picnic spot where you will stop for a little picnic lunch break in the middle of the day. After lunch, you can continue exploring the park and watching animals until later in the day, when you’ll start the drive back to Dar es Salaam.
ITINERARY: 1 DAY SAADANI NATIONAL PARK SAFARI
Saadani Day Safari Trip: We will pick you up from the designated pick-up location in Dar es Salaam at 6 a.m. to begin the Saadani Day Safari Trip. Driving through Bagamoyo, a historic town, takes roughly two hours to get from Dar es Salaam to Saadani. We will pass through some historical places, small towns, and smaller villages along the way. The scenery along the route is breathtaking and includes coastal plains, hills, and valleys.
As soon as we get to Saadani National Park, we’ll start the game drive and look for various herds of animals. There is little doubt that we will be able to see a variety of land animals, including the African hornbill and other birds, as well as elephants, lions, giraffes, waterbucks, and sable antelope.
We will have the opportunity to see crocodiles, hippos, and aquatic and riverine birds along the Wami River on this Saadani Day Safari Trip. One of Tanzania’s primary green turtle breeding grounds is the coastline of Saadani National Park. A picnic lunch will be given on the beach, after which game viewing will continue until late in the afternoon before being returned to Dar es Salaam.
