DAY 01: KILIMANJARO AIRPORT ARRIVAL
Upon arrival, you will be picked up at the airport and driven to the reserved accommodation. The guide gives a briefing on the safari. Check into the hotel to stay the night and have dinner.
DAY 02: HALF-DAY GAME DRIVE IN TARANGIRE
Pickup from your Arusha lodging is followed by a 2-hour drive to Tarangire, which is renowned for having a large population of elephants. During a game drive in the stunning park, visitors can see countless elephants, big cats, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and monkeys. Take a break for lunch at a picnic area, then continue watching wildlife until dusk. After dinner, proceed to the reserved hotel to spend the night.
DAY 03: TARANGIRE MORNING GAME DRIVE AND TRANSFER TO SERENGETI
For a morning game drive to watch animals waking up in the wild, depart extremely early. Game drive to see big cat killings and many bird species, such as the fabled “Masai ostrich.”
By 9:00, return to the hotel to have a shower and eat breakfast. Leave the accommodation after breakfast and travel to the prestigious Serengeti national park with a packed lunch. Come in the evening and make your way to the hotel reserved for the night.
DAY 04: FULL-DAY GAME DRIVE IN THE SERENGETI
Go on a daytime wildlife drive through the wide acacia-tree-lined savannah plains. Big cats (lion, leopard, and cheetah), wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, hyenas, and antelopes can all be seen during a game drive. Gain the opportunity to observe several bird species. Take a break for a picnic lunch and continue watching games until dusk. After dinner, retire to your hotel room for the night.
DAY 05: MORNING GAME DRIVE AND TRANSFER TO OLDUVAI GORGE
Pack a lunch and leave the hotel for a brief game drive to see elephants, elands, hartebeests, buffalos, Topi, and other animals. Continue your trip to the anthropological site of Olduvai Gorge, which contains the remnants of early humans. See the first human fossils and learn about the history of man by taking a historical tour. Proceed to the reserved accommodation for an overnight stay within Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
DAY 06: NGORONGORO CRATER GAME DRIVE
With a packed lunch, check out of the hotel and descend to the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro caldera, which is home to thousands of animals and birds, will amaze you. The big five can only be seen together in the crater on a game drive, along with elephants, giraffes, elands, hyenas, antelopes, Oryx, jackals, and other animals. Encounter many bird species. Have a picnic lunch break, then continue game viewing until dusk. Exit the crater, then travel to the hotel to spend the night.
DAY 07: LAKE NATRON TOUR AND TRANSFER TO ARUSHA
Have a breakfast break before leaving the hotel to drive to Lake Natron. Enjoy the lake’s lovely alkaline features while strolling beside it. Have the chance to see the lake decorated by a large number of flamingos. If you’re fortunate, you might be able to see their laid eggs. After a picnic lunch, return to Arusha by car.
DAY 08: TRANSFER TO ZANZIBAR
Check out of your Arusha accommodation and get ready to go to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, a pickup from the airport and a transfer to the reserved hotel in Stone Town are provided. The guide gives a briefing on the safari. Register at the hotel so you can rest. Dinner and a hotel stay the following day.
DAY 09: MNEMBA ISLAND DAY TOUR
On the 9th day of your 13 days Tanzania and Zanzibar Safari , Pickup and drive to Nungwi from your hotel. Once there, continue with the trip to the upscale Mnemba Island. Together with dolphins and whale sharks, turtles that are there to breed can also be observed there. Spend time swimming, snorkeling, and diving to witness a variety of fish species, such as surgeon fish and striped snapper. Continue your traditional dhow voyage to Muyuni Beach for a seafood barbecue meal. Beach breezes are the best for unwinding completely. Return by boat to Nungwi and be dropped off at the original lodgings in Stone Town.
DAY 10: JOZANI FOREST DAY TOUR
Drive to the renowned Jozani Forest after checking out of the hotel. Discover the diverse plants and creatures in the lovely woodland. Have the chance to visit the red colobus monkeys’ final refuges. Take a picnic lunch break. Visit the mangrove swamp and stroll through it to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Leave the woodland and return to town by car.
DAY 11: STONE TOWN DAY TOUR AND TRANSFER TO NUNGWI
A half-day tour of the lovely coastal town is picked up from the hotel. Visit the House of Wonders, Old Fort, Slave Market, Palace Museum, and Darajani Market to learn about the town. Explore the town’s streets to observe Zanzibar’s curving doors adorning them. Take a lunchtime barbecue break. To buy handcrafted products like jewelry, khangas, and other stuff, wander through the confined bazaar streets and curio shops. Drive on to Nungwi Beach to reach the hotel reserved for the night.
DAY 12: FULL DAY BEACH RELAXATION
Spend the entire day alone at the beach, relaxing your body and mind. Swim, snorkel, and dive to get up close to the stunning marine life. Take a break for lunch at the hotel, then continue to relax at the beach until late in the day. Dinner, and a hotel room stay.
DAY 13: SPICE FARM TOUR AND TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT
On the 13th day of your 13 days Tanzania and Zanzibar Safari , Leave the hotel and travel to Spice Island by boat. Discover the island’s natural beauty and plenty of fruits and spices. If you’re interested, try some of the tropical fruits and climb some coconut trees. Walk till noon, at which point you should drive back to town. After lunch, transfer to the airport to catch your flight. End of tour!
