6 Days Tanzania Safari

Day 1 – Arusha – Lake Manyara

Pick up from Arusha and transfer to Lake Manyara national park. We arrive and check in our lodge for refreshments as we wait for lunch.  After lunch we drive inside the Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon game drive. This national park is one of Tanzania’s most famous park with tree climbing lions. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of other animals like Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Zebras, Hippos, Gazelles, Impala, Oribi, Babbons and many others.

Day 2 – Lake Manyara – Serengeti Plains

After breakfast we depart for Serengeti National Park passing via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We clear with Ngorongoro crater gate before we enter in to the jugle. The drive is scenic with much enroute game viewing, we will be seeing more animals till we reach the Serengeti gate. We have brief break at the gate then  head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area. Have afternoon game drive at Serengeti national park in search for the big game like Elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, cheetahs, wildebeests, buffaloes, gazelles, and many more. Drive to our lodge to check in as we wait for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Serengeti Plains (optional Balloon safari)

We get our breakfast early, after breakfast with our lunch boxes we go for the full day game drive in the endless plains of Serengeti national park. We explore the different sections of the park insearch for the wildlife like lions, Rhinos, Buffaloes, Elephants, leopards, cheetahs, Wildebeest, zebras, topis, gazelles, hyenas, dik-dik, oribi and many more. We will have lunch break and visit to Tourist information center where we open our lunch boxes from. After lunch go for evenining game drive insearch for more wildlife, visit the hippo pools and other areas. Return to our lodge  for Dinner and overnight in the Seronera area, as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.

Day 4 – Serengeti Plains – Ngorongoro crater

After breakfast at the lodge do we depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area with enroute game drive. We will stopover at Olduvai Gorge (Optional), boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution.

We arrive in time for lunch at the crater entry point, will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife for a full day’s safari tour. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, is it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here.

Day 5 – Ngorongoro Crater – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast we depart for the Tarangire National Park. The is dominated by the natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African national park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. After a picnic lunch we do an afternoon game drive.

Day 6 – Tarangire National Park – Arusha

We enjoy an early morning game drive in the Tarangire National Park, followed by breakfast at the lodge. We will then transfer back to Arusha. Upon arrival in Arusha will we have lunch and then we will end our African safari adventure. The group should tip the guide around $20 a day. You will be taken to your hotel, which ends our safari services.
