Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Pick-up and transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Upon arrival in Kigali airport or depending on your location in Kigali, meet your safari driver to transfer to Volcanoes national park. It’s about 2-3 hours’ drive from Kigali. Upon arrival, visit the Dian fossey Museum and the Ellen Degenerous campus and explore the work done in efforts to conserve the gorillas. Thereafter, check-in at your booked lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Virunga Inn Lodge for luxury/Da Vinci Gorilla lodge for mid-range/Amikus Hotel for budget.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking – Return to Kigali

After breakfast, connect to the park headquarters where you will meet the park officials for briefing about the mountain gorillas in the mist, and thereafter enter into the jungle in search of the mountain gorillas , it takes about 2-8 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. On finding the gorillas you will be allowed to spend 1 hour, take amazing photos and videos.

After trekking, meet your driver and return to Kigali. Upon arrival, enjoy an optional city tour, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial site, Kandt Museum and Kimoronko market and other places of your own interest in Kigali with en-route lunch. Day 3: Fly to Tanzania Tanzania (Own booked flight) – Transfer to Lake Manyara national Park – Walking safari

After breakfast, you will be dropped off at Kigali airport for your own booked flight to Tanzania. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to Karatu. Its’ about 2-3 hours’ drive. Upon arrival, you will enjoy an amazing introduction to the Tanzania wildlife with a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. After your picnic lunch, embark on a guided nature walk and get closer to the natural surroundings in the park including animals like elephants, giraffes, zebras, among others; and also enjoy the beautiful views around. Day 4: Transfer to Southern Serengeti National Park – afternoon/evening game Drive

Day 6: Another day game drive in Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, drive for yet another game drive with your picnic lunch enjoyed in the wilderness, you will engage in a game drive around Serengeti national park as you look out for wildlife species.

Or also go for a hot air balloon. The hot air balloon gives you a chance to soar above the Serengeti plains and see more of the park while above, sweeping views of the sunrise, as well as a sparkling wine bush breakfast experience!

Day 7: Transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area – Ngorongoro Crater Drive

After breakfast, transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area, which is about 4 hours’ drive. Upon arrival with your packed lunch you will descend the 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater for amazing wildlife viewing opportunities and to enjoy the beautiful scenery, including the big 5 Ngorongoro animals.
