Day 2–4: Rest on the Coast of the Indian Ocean
Experience the warm, genuine Swahili hospitality while swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean and sipping a fresh coconut from one of our palm trees that is blowing in the breeze. Zanzibar’s unforgettable beach experience
On the south-east coast of Zanzibar Island, which is the most tranquil and undeveloped area of the island, the hotel is located along a beautiful, undeveloped beach.
Famous for its meticulous attention to detail, private dining, and breathtaking Zanzibari décor with exquisite carving, gleaming metal, and luxurious fabrics, it has a classy and distinctive ambiance. The island of Zanzibar has conjured up fantastic and wonderful dreams for generations. There is no better location to take in and appreciate the amazing surroundings, gorgeous beach, and our kind staff.
Day 5: Tour to Prison Island/Stone Town
You’ll begin this unforgettable day with a pickup from your hotel and a good 30-minute boat ride to Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island or Quarantine Island, in the Zanzibar Archipelago.
The island was bought in 1893, and a jail complex was constructed there by the former British prime minister of Zanzibar. But it was never used for what was planned! It served as a quarantine facility for people with yellow fever.
After visiting the giant tortoise reserve, where you may observe, pet, and even feed these amazing, ancient, calm creatures, the structure is now a ruin but still serves as a lovely guesthouse for guests. Here, you can unwind a little and take in the stunning views. However, they are not natives! The governor of the Seychelles gave four Aldabra giant tortoise specimens as a gift in 1919.
They freely reproduced since Prison Island was a terrific environment for them. The first settlers are still among the many tortoises that are welcoming you today. Additionally, there is a nursery where you can witness young tortoises of various ages. A wonderful interaction for all, but especially for children!
Finish off your wonderful day by snorkeling near the coral reefs, where you may see colorful fish, numerous stunning starfish, and lovely seashells, or just unwind on the white sand beach.
Admire the stunning vista of Stone Town, the harbor, and the archipelago when you return. Particularly at night, the view of Stone Town from the island is magnificent. We’ll take you on a quick guided tour of the island.
Day 6: Jozani Forest Tour
You will be picked up to visit Jozani Forests after breakfast. You can see the Jozani Natural Forest on the Jozani Forest Tour, which is the only natural forest in Zanzibar. On the island of Zanzibar, the woodland is situated in the center east. A mere 20-minute trip from Stone Town. It has roughly 100 different tree species in 43 different tree groups.
The rare Red Colobus Monkey, which is native to this forest only, calls it home. On this specifically designed excursion, the major focus of this portion of the tour is a visit to the ecologically protected woodland.
The forest is home to several rare species, including the Sykes monkey, bush infants, Ader’s duiker, over 50 kinds of butterflies, and 40 species of birds. It also contains a sizable mangrove swamp and a section of natural forest.
