Beginning in Arusha, Tanzania, the 9-day Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar Beach Trip includes an overnight stay at a Lake Manyara lodge.  The next few days are spent traveling from Lake Manyara through the Malanja Depression and Masai communities to Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. The Tanzania safari then continues through the Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara to Arusha, where you will board a flight to the island of Zanzibar.

The next five nights of the Tanzania safari and Zanzibar trip are spent on Zanzibar Island, where you may take advantage of the island’s stunning beaches, watersports, and cultural and outdoor activities. Activities in Zanzibar include scuba diving, boat trips to islands in the Indian Ocean, tours of Stone Town or spice farms, and more. On the east coast of Zanzibar Island, there are five-star resorts and hotels that offer lodging.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire

After breakfast, your knowledgeable safari driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you to Tarangire National Park, where you may see some animals. From Arusha, take a leisurely 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. After a full day of game viewing, you will be moved to the park’s historic, huge baobab trees, commonly known as the “Tree of Life,” which dominate much of the park’s landscape. There, you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Visit Manyara National Park

After breakfast, we’ll visit Lake Manyara National Park, which is famous for its tens of thousands of flamingos that graze along the lake’s edge during the rainy season. The Lake Manyara Biosphere Reserve includes Lake Manyara National Park, with its tens of thousands of pink flamingos, hot springs, elephants, and tree-climbing lions among its highlights. Once you’ve had the complete experience, you’ll be taken to a hotel for dinner and the night.

Day 3: Drive to Serengeti National Park

After a leisurely breakfast, we will travel from the Ngorongoro conservation area to Serengeti National Park. En route, we will stop at a few picturesque locations so that you may take pictures and fully experience a traditional Tanzanian safari. You will be taken to your lodge for dinner and the night after witnessing animals in the Serengeti.

Day 4: Full day of game drive in Serengeti

You will spend the entire day seeing animals in several Serengeti locations. Serengeti is arguably best known for the annual wildebeest migration. For the brief rainy season, almost a million wildebeest and a few hundred zebra migrate from the northern hills to the southern plains.
