5 days Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari
5 days Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari is a tour which will take place in the northern part of Tanzania. You will engage in game drives around Serengeti national park, explore the Ngorongoro crater and also tour Tarangire national park. After the safari, your guide will drive you to Arusha which will bring the safari to an end.
Day 1; pick up and drive to Serengeti national park
Drive time; about 7 hours
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha on the first day of your safari and welcome you for your safari. You will continue your drive to Serengeti national park which will begin your wildlife viewing adventures in the northern part of Tanzania.
You will be driven to your lodge where you will check in for dinner and overnight at Serengeti heritage luxury tented camp.
Day 2; full day in Serengeti national park
After having breakfast early at your lodge in Serengeti national park, you will explore the central part of the national park and engage in game drives during the day. You will start with a morning game drive and look out for wildlife species such as lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, gazelles, elands, impalas, dik dik, kudus, waterbucks and many others.
You will have lunch after your morning game drive and later engage in another game drive after as you search for more wildlife species around Serengeti national park. After your game drives, your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Serengeti heritage luxury tented camp.
Day 3; drive to Ngorongoro crater
Your guide will drive you to Ngorongoro conservation area after you have had your breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park. You will descend about 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater is the world’s largest crater as you search for various wildlife species. You will look out for wildlife species such as the big five which includes elephants, lions, buffalos, leopards and rhinos.
After having lunch, you will descend about 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater where you will see attractions such as Lake Magadi which is known for having large flocks of flamingos along its shores. You will also see a variety of wildlife species during your safari such as cheetahs, jackals, gazelles, hippos, elands, wildebeests and many others. Dinner and overnight will be at Hhando coffee lodge.
Day 4; drive to Tarangire national park
Your breakfast will be served at your lodge ahead of a tour around Tarangire national park. You will engage in a game drive around Tarangire as you look out for wildlife species such as the large herds of elephants. You will also enjoy seeing baobab trees as you explore the national park.
During your game drives in Tarangire national park, you will search for wildlife species such as waterbucks, giraffes, elands, gazelles, lions, leopards among others. This national park is also known for having a big number of bird species which can be seen in different birding locations around the national park. You will be driven to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Baobab tented camp.
Day 5; drive to Arusha
After having breakfast at your lodge, you will be driven to Arusha where you will enjoy a city tour around the town and your guide will drive you to the airport or your hotel in Arusha which will bring the safari to an end.
